Aim
The subject aims to develop students’ knowledge and understanding concerning real estate companies in general and facility management in particular.

For a passing grade the student must

• Explain and describe the relevant aspects concerning real estate companies.

• Explain and describe the relevant aspects concerning facility management.

• Define control of activities within real estate companies and facility management from a strategic perspective.

Skills and abilities
For a passing grade the student must

• Implement analysis of activities within real estates.

• Apply future strategic analysis of real estate companies and facility management companies.

Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must

• Present strategic analysis of real estate companies and facility management for potential clients.

Contents
The subject deals with different services within the context of Facility Management. Partly the subject concentrates on strategic analysis and planning, environmental and quality strategies, analysis of operation and maintenance costs, investment management, facility-information and public documents, property development and perform appraisal of real estate companies.

The rest of the subject focus on analysis models, locality planning, functional specifications, procurement of supporting measures, service management, outsourcing and internal rental systems.
