Higher education credits: 6. Grading scale: UG. Level: G2 (First level). Language of instruction: The course will be given in English. Optional for: A4. Course coordinator: Professor Mats Edström, Mats.Edstrom@byggark.lth.se, Bebyggelsevård. The course might be cancelled if the numer of applicants is less than 10. Assessment: Successfully to complete the course, a student must attend not less than eighty per cent of the lectures and study visits. At the end of the course, each gives in words, drawings and images a final account of a project. Further information: The course is held primarily for international-exchange students of architecture. Contents
The course focuses on 20th-century Scandinavian architecture that is represented by its ‘highlights’. Its first part comprises lectures and seminars, together with numerous excursions in Sweden and Scandinavia; its second part the students’ own studies and the preparation of a paper by each student.
