Higher education credits: 6. Grading scale: TH. Level: G1 (First level). Language of instruction: The course will be given in Swedish. VBE110 overlap following cours/es: VTG100 och VTG100. Alternative for: V3. Optional for: RH4. Course coordinator: Mats Persson, mats.persson@bekon.lth.se, Byggnadsekonomi. Prerequisites: VBE013 The Construction Process and Business Economics. Assessment: Examination will be based on both individual and group work. The individual examination consists of a multiple choice questions and requires at least 50% right answer in order to be rewarded with a pass. The subject aims at imparting basic knowledge on project management that aids to manage projects, catering the different human needs and society’s comprehensive goals for development in keeping society in balance with nature, resource optimisation and life cycle economy.

Contents
The subject comprises of central project methods and studying their advantages and limitations. The knowledge areas covered include integration management, scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, human resource management, communication management, risk management and procurement management.

Aids such as tools and computer support are introduced in the subject course. A project model is also introduced to assist planning, control and execution of projects in different areas of technology.
