BIOLOGICAL MONITORINGTEK105

Higher education credits: 15. Grading scale: TH. Level: A (Second level). Language of instruction: The course will be given in Swedish. TEK105 overlap following cours/es: BIO639, BIO639 och BIO639. Optional for: W4, W4ne. Course coordinator: Eva Waldemarson, Eva.Waldemarson@ekol.lu.se, Inst för biologisk grundutbildning. Prerequisites: The following is required for admission to the course: 90 ECTS credits program studies including VVR111 and EXTA01. Assessment: Assessment takes the form of a written test at the end of the course. Students who fail the ordinary test will have an opportunity to take another test in close proximity to the ordinary test. In order to pass the course the student is required to have passed the test, have acceptable practical reports, have acceptable project reports and to have participated in all compulsory course elements. Aim
The aim is for students to acquire the knowledge and understanding for the scientific basis for biological monitoring within nature conservation.

The course will prepare students for professions concerned with the monitoring of plant and animal populations and the interpretation of collected data.

After completion of the course students will be able to plan research, critically assess inventories using different methods and where applicable analyse time series data, as well as present results to different target groups relating to the following course elements:
