SPANISH FOR ENGINEERS: LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND SOCIETY, SECOND COURSEGEMA15

Higher education credits: 7,5. Grading scale: TH. Level: G1 (First level). Language of instruction: The course will be given in Swedish. GEMA15 overlap following cours/es: TNX185 och TNX185. Optional for: A3, B2, BI3, C4, D4, E4, F3, I3, ID3, K2, L4, M3, MD3, N2, Pi4, RH4, V4, W3. Course coordinator: Coordinator Vesta Sandberg, vesta.sandberg@rom.lu.se, Spanska. The number of participants is limited to 30 Selection criteria: Credits remaining for the degree. Assessment: A written test of written proficiency (3 p), an oral test of oral proficiency (4,5 p). Aim
The aim of the course is to give the student a further communicative competence in Spanish and to give a widened knowledge of Spanish and Latin American society.

Contents
Reading of about 50 pages of Spanish texts. The texts are simple but yet somewhat more advanced than in the basic course. The text study is combined with hearing and speaking exercices and simple writing exercices. The communicative ability is given a particular weight. Conversation is an important part of the course, which accordingly presupposes an active participation.
