CAD FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN WORKADP145

Higher education credits: 6. Grading scale: UG. Level: A (Second level). Language of instruction: The course will be given in English on demand. Optional for: A4. Course coordinator: Architect Olle Bergman, olle.bergman@caad.lth.se, Projekteringsmetodik. Recommended prerequisits: Architecture, Basic Courses A, B, C, D of the A-program or equivalent, basic knowledge in ADT. The course might be cancelled if the numer of applicants is less than 20. The number of participants is limited to 25 Assessment: The course is based on lectures, exercises and private studies. Aim
The course intends to give increased skills in CAD and a deeper knowledge of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) for architectural design work. The students will also be given knowledge in the use of ICT in future practice, and its significance and possibilities in the design process.

Contents
The course includes lectures, seminars and exercises and will give knowledge in the use of CAD. The exercises will use software from Autodesk and SketchUp with applications in use for the Nordic market.

Course material as instructions and CAD manuals will be web based.
