Higher education credits: 1. Grading scale: UG. Level: G1 (First level). Language of instruction: The course might be given in English. Compulsory for: A1. Assessment: Attendance at at least 7 lectures and 4 approved papers. Further information: The course autumn term 2008 is compulsory for students in year 1 and 2.

Aim
The aim of the course is to bring knowledge about the work among practicing architects and to bring knowledge about architectural research from theoretical and applied perspectives. The course also aims at bringing an insight about the diversity of tools and methods that constitute contemporary architectural practice.

Contents
The course consists of a series of lectures by invited guest lecturers from the professional field and various universities. Guest lecturers may be important names of contemporary architecture as well as researchers and teachers at Lund University. The lectures will be announced at least one week in advance so it will be possible for lecturers visiting the department could act in the course.
