Credits: 3. Grading scale: UG. Optional for: A3, B2, BI3, C4, D4, E4, F4, I3, ID1, K2, M3, MD2, N2, Pi2, RH3, V4, W3. Course coordinator: Director of studies, Kristian.Berghult@nordlund.lu.se, Svenska. Assessment: The tuition is compulsory. There is no final examination. Assessment of performance on a number of tasks counts as examination. These tasks are assessed individually and the results are combined at the end of the course. Further information: Course held jointly with LTH. Limited number (30) of places. Special procedure for selection and admission. Aim
The aim of the course is to give training in the types of oral and written presentation in Swedish that an engineer mainly works with, and during this training to practise Swedish language skills as a whole. The course is not for beginners. It is important to have a command of both oral and written Swedish.

Contents
There are 12 meetings of three hours each, consisting of lectures alternating with exercises. Contents include: The significance of the communication situation for the form of texts. Information-friendly sentence structure. Functional disposition. Division into text blocks and headings. Coordination between text and non-verbal elements such as pictures, tables, diagrams etc. Technical terms – their structure and function. Designing technical reports. Usage is also discussed, i.e., what can be considered right and wrong in different communication situations.
