Aim
The course aim is to give knowledge in the fields of building technique, building physics, interpretation of drawings and fire safety documentation.

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

Interpret drawings

Describe and explain different building elements

Describe building physical processes

Identify and describe moisture effects on different building elements

Skills and abilities
For a passing grade the student must

Design ordinary building elements and connections between building elements

Evaluate different designs regarding moisture and heat

Use technical terms in both written and spoken language

Discuss different designs with building industry actors

The learning process is based on teaching media for university studies and drawings from industry. After completing the course the student shall have developed skill to further studies with a certain amount of independence.

Contents
Go through

Moisture and heat is treated both theoretical; at lectures, theory go through and calculations; and practical in a design exercises. The design exercises also include CAD- drawings.
