PROJECT – ENERGY ECONOMICS AND PLANNINGMVK120

Higher education credits: 7,5. Grading scale: TH. Level: A (Second level). Language of instruction: The course will be given in English on demand. Optional for: M4, M4en, RH4, W4. Recommended prerequisits: MVK061 Energy Utilisation, MVK071 Energy Supply Systems, MVK080 Fuel Gas Engineering, MMV050 Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, MMV031 Heat Transfer and MVK170 Applied Thermodynamics. Assessment: The compulsory written project report is presented and discussed in compulsory seminars. Each seminar participant is expected to be prepared for active efforts but one of the participants is ordered the formal role as opponent. Teachers and student representatives form a grade-proposing group. Grades (in the interval 2(0,5)6) are proposed for the project report, for the defence of the project report, and for the opposition (three grades). Final grades are decided by the examiner. Contents
The study course will give knowledge about project work within the choosen theme, specific knowledge within the theme, as well as knowledge and practice in methods for oral and written presentation of engineering results. Methods for defence of a report and methods for doing a correct opposition on another student’s report.

Literature
Literature of relevance for the theme chosen is presented by the examiner. Literature and other information sources needed for the project work are selected by the participants themselves.
