ANALOGUE PROJECTETI022

Higher education credits: 7,5. Grading scale: UG. Level: A (Second level). Language of instruction: The course will be given in English on demand. Optional for: E3. The number of participants is limited to 32 Assessment: Project, report and oral public presentation. Further information: Limited number of participants, 32 positions. Aim
Project work in groups is by far the most common situation for an engineer. This course will give opportunity to run realistic self chosen projects built on the knowledge of analogue building blocks from earlier courses e.g. ESS010 and ESS020.

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

· Be familiar with the process of planning and implementation of projects.

· Be familiar with electromagnetic interference and how it may affect an electronic system.

Skills and abilities
For a passing grade the student must

· Be able to implement an electronic design into a functioning product.

· Be able to carry out systematic debugging in an electronic circuit.

Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must

· Be able to extract and present essential project information and results in a written report.

· Be able to give an oral presentation in public and explain the main project results.

Contents
Lectures will cover topics on demand chosen by the participants. The main time will be spent on self chosen electronic designs.
