Aim
The aim of the course is to give a deeper understanding of biochemistry.

Contents
The course covers enzymology, metabolism and its control, physiological aspects of biochemistry and the organisation and expression of the genes. The practical work includes work with isotopes, purification and characterization of DNA from E. coli and calf thymus and investigations of lactate dehydrogenase from beef heart.
