Aim
Basic knowledge of construction and analysis of simple stochastic models.

Contents
Basic knowledge of probability and statistics. Data analysis. Point and interval estimation. Test of hypothesis. Experimental design. Regression and variance analysis. Applications: Data analysis. Measurement errors and propagation. Comparisons between expectations and variances, quality control, optimisation of design parameters, response surface methodology. Special attention to applications in chemical engineering.
