Aim
The purpose of the course is to give an understanding and knowledge of computer networks, their principles and in particular the protocol aspects.

Computer and Local Area Networks; Media, topology, access methods. Internetworking, bridges and gateways. Standardizations, the OSI reference model and IEEE protocols. Broadband networks and ISDN. Performance evaluation of networks.
