Aim
The aim of the course is for students to:

• gain a positive attitude towards and skills in co-operating with industrial designers in project development.

• increase knowledge of different design methods (primarily user centred).

• gain skills in applying user-centred design methods.

• increase knowledge and understanding of the problems involved with a particular disability chosen by the group.

Contents
The course consists of Internet lectures in design methodology and rehabilitation technology, as well as a project that is carried out with industrial design students in the Disabilities - Universal Design course. The assignments to be turned in are related to the lectures.

The project will result in a prototype of either a technical aid for persons with a specific disability or a "design-for-all" product.

The course is problem based and project oriented.
