The course is an overview of the development of architecture in the Scandinavian Countries from the Middle Ages until today. Descriptions will be followed by references to the historical, cultural and socio-economical background as well. The course includes not only lectures but also seminars and excursions. In this way it is hoped to achieve an active participation of the students, with comments, discussions and exchange of views.
