The aim of the course is to provide a general overview of the subject of industrial economics. The course also aims for the student to develop a business creating approach in the career as an engineer.

The course covers theoretical and practical moments linked to business establishment and development. Students apply economic concepts and models to understand and describe how these are formed in an business situation. Contact with enginuers create new role models and insights are given for the business conditions and challenges. Students are introduced in to information collection, use of databases, formulation of interview forms and conducting interviews. Introduction to the design of a popular science article and its formalization is given in the course.
Grading scale: UG - (U,G) - (Fail, Pass)
Assessment: Popular scientific article and oral presentation.
