Aim

The aim of the course is to execute an industrial design project, if possible in a small team, based on a design brief relevant to the chosen topic. During the project, the students put into practice past and newly acquired practical and theoretical knowledge. Students will have the possibility to collaborate with other faculties at Lund University and/or external partners.

Contents

Based on the knowledge and experience gained in the Industrial Design Project I, students progress in applying themselves theoretically and practically to their chosen topic.

Students are required to develop an in-depth design strategy to realise a concept (product or service) within the framework set by their chosen topic; delineated with a complementary project documentation.

 

Examination details

Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: 80% participation, project completion according to the guidelines set by the teacher. The outcome, whether as physical 3D prototype and/or 3D simulation or immaterial, must be presented orally, visually and in writing (project documentation) – also debating the process employed and issues encountered.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
