The aim of the course is to execute an industrial design project, if possible in a small team, based on a design brief relevant to the chosen focus area. During the project, the students put into practice past and newly acquired practical and theoretical knowledge. Students will have the possibility to collaborate with other faculties at Lund University and/or external partners.

Based on previous experience and knowledge and input from the Introduction and phasing-in period, students begin to further deepen themselves theoretically and practically within the field
Students are required to develop a design strategy to realise a concept within the framework set by their chosen focus area; delineated with a complementary documentation.
Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: 80% participation, project completion according to the guidelines set by the teacher.
The outcome must be presented orally, visually and in writing – also debating the process employed.
The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
