Aim

The aim of this course is to illustrate the process of programming an embedde system.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

• be able to analyze and describe system of low and medium complexity
• test och debug a design in a systematic way
• profit by search relevant information

Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must

• be able to suggest and formulate technical solutions for digital communication systems fulfilling given demands
• be able to independently work in a creative way with advanced projects, and also orally clearly present, motivate and discuss obtained conclusions

Judgement and approach
For a passing grade the student must

• be able to show insight concerning possibilities and limitations of embedded systems

Contents

This course focuses on the protocol suite for data communication. In the course a solution is implemented that covers several layers in the protocol stack.

Examination details

Grading scale: UG - (U,G) - (Fail, Pass)
Assessment: Attending the lectures and approved project work.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.

Admission

Admission requirements:

• EDA016 Programming, First Course or EDA017 Programming, First Course or EDAA45 Introduction to Programming or EDAA55 Programming, First Course

Assumed prior knowledge: Accustomedness to work independently, and a basic course in communication.
The number of participants is limited to: 20
Selection: Number of credits within the programme. Priority is given to students enrolled on programmes that include the course in their curriculum.
