Aim

The course introduces ideas from modern telecommunication technology. Its aim is to answer some fundamental questions:

Which kinds of information need to be transferred?

How do we measure information?

How do we transfer or store information?

What is the advantage of digital communication?

Which laws govern information transmission?

Examination details

Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Written exam (5 h) consisting of five problems.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
