Aim

The aim is to give fundamental information on the legal system and practice in Swedish agreement and contract law.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding
For a passing grade the student must

• Give an account of the building process and the parties involved
• Describe the purchasing regulations, agreements, general regulations and the Public Procurement Act
• Give an account of various procurement concepts and contract forms
• Be able to interpret the design of tenders and contents as well as analyse the most important components of the tender

Competences and skills
For a passing grade the student must

• be able to design and evaluate inquiries and tenders from given prerequisites

• Introduction to civil law
• Public law
• Legal orientation
• Law of contract
• Sale of goods act, law of damages, The Swedish Environmental Code
• Inquiry document
• The Public Procurement ActLaw AB04, ABK96, ABT94

Project work ande assignments.

Examination details

Grading scale: TH - (U,3,4,5) - (Fail, Three, Four, Five)
Assessment: Written exam. Satisfactory project work and assignments.

The examiner, in consultation with Disability Support Services, may deviate from the regular form of examination in order to provide a permanently disabled student with a form of examination equivalent to that of a student without a disability.
