Contents

This course is run mainly as a project laboratory work and in the form of a project (a process engineering assignment) that will be carried out by a project group. It will train the ability to run a project and work in a group. The project work includes a literature survey, forming hypotheses for the phenomena taking place and that need to be solved, planning of required experiments, experimental work on the unit operation equipment in pilot scale, evaluating the experimental data and reporting.

Attendance is mandatory at the first class, the first group meeting, project seminars ant the safety lecture.

Within the project also includes a qualified theoretical/computational simulations part for the studied unit operation. Data for its assessment will be taken from the own experiments or from literature.

The course will mainly be in the form of a project performed by a self-steering project group. Each group will have an advisor.

Peer assessment is an integrated part of the project work.

An home assignment in the form of a computational task related to the performance of a unit operation is also included.
